1-Who are the people behind the Arc'Warm brand?
Behind the Arc'Warm brand, there is a group of people with a lot of passion for the motorbike industry and a wide experience in the sale, use, development and marketing of its products.
At the head of this project are Irene and Guillermo, managers of Motorraiz, bikers with an extremely extensive experience in the sector of almost 20 years, knowledgeable about the products and brands down to the smallest detail, experts in the materials available and their real performance on the road.
From day one, they have specialised in upper-mid-range clothing with the highest quality standards and are tireless testers of thousands of products.
What we would highlight most about them is their sincerity in recounting their experiences, both the good and the bad, the integrity in their communications has always gone hand in hand with their writing.
He is accompanied on this journey by Javier González as a business development expert, as well as part of the Motorraiz team, and Luis de Alburquerque, supervisor and coordinator of the entire manufacturing process in Portugal, all of whom bring their experience to this exciting journey that has just begun.

2-Why buy Arc'Warm?
We work intensively to offer the end customer the best possible product to enjoy motorcycling trips.
Why are we so sure of this statement? It's simple, after almost 20 years of experience in the sector, knowing the materials currently available for the manufacture of thermal clothing, having used thousands and thousands of different products in our travels, motorcycle routes and tests that we have made of most manufacturers in the motorbike market, we know what needs there are, what is available on the market and what we can offer different from the rest, improving what is known.
We are not just a brand that buys ready-made products and puts our logo on them, no, at Arc'Warm we have designed the products from scratch, carefully selected the materials, supervised the entire production process, we are bikers at heart with a lot of experience and a desire to do our best.
.
3-Does Arc'Warm thermal clothing really work?
Yes, we can assure you that it works. We have used it on many occasions, testing the different products for more than 1000 hours and always with the right equipment for motorcycling routes, which is why we always recommend the three-layer system adapted to the practice of motorcycling.

4-Cool Vs Heat, all people experience temperature differently.
It is really true, every person is different. Luckily all people are different and thermal sensations are no less, you can say that there are extremes, such as people who are always hot, even when it is cold, and people who are always cold even when it is hot, within these two extremes there is an extremely wide range of thermal sensations in each individual.
In addition, there are differential factors that justify the different sensations that each individual has, such as Genetic Inheritance. A low body fat index will make you feel colder than someone with a higher index, the propensity for oily skin also helps you to feel less cold.
Among other factors, we can highlight that being under the effect of medication can also favour having different thermal sensations. For example, women have a higher proportion of subcutaneous fat, which makes them feel colder, but they can withstand lower temperatures more easily.
The type of food we have eaten, the time that has passed since the meal, whether we exercise at the time or stand still, and many other factors mean that each individual has different sensations in the same outdoor thermal conditions and with the same clothing.

5-What added value does Arc'Warm motorbike thermal clothing give me compared to other manufacturers in other segments such as Outdoor?
Brands specialising in outdoor clothing are manufactured with medium or high physical intensity in mind, with very continuous and repetitive movement, prioritising the lightness of the fabric with lower grammage. This results in lower thermal properties and maximum breathability. In addition, the construction of the garments dedicated to each sport has a differentiated specification and R&D. The movements that can be made in running are not the same as those that can be made in cycling or mountain biking. For this reason, the garments designed for these sports have different breathability characteristics in each area and mobility to avoid chafing with different fabrics and even thinner material that are totally different for motorcycling, your motorbike routes or motorbike trips..

6- Why do we choose Merino Wool for motorcycling?
Merino wool is one of the most complete natural fabrics that exist, its ability to regulate body temperature is one of the best on the market, it also absorbs a large amount of moisture without feeling damp to the touch, in winter Merino wool helps retain body heat and in summer it is an excellent choice because of its ability to absorb and release sweat.
After many years in the sector and with many thousands of kilometres under our belts we have seen how fragile the human body is (thermally speaking) on motorbike routes, and how exposed we are to temperature changes, tired of trying and trying solutions from the general market, (allow us not to name names, but we all know them) commercial megastores with extremely cheap products, that the only thing we did with them was to buy, use and throw away but that were never really effective when they were really needed.
As we mentioned, tired of it, we decided to look for the best base fabric for motorcycling. There are many synthetics to choose from derived from the high mountain, dozens of different ones, Polartec, Thermal, Thinsulate, etc...., once we tested them all and evaluated them together with Merino Wool there was no discussion, Merino Wool is more expensive, more complex to produce and manufacture but the level of thermal comfort is superior, therefore, we decided to make it with this wonderful natural fibre and develop the best thermal product for motorcycling that we could get.

7-How do you spell Merino Wool in Spanish, Lana Merina or Lana Merino?
You will see that on the web, we pronounce both ways of describing wool, and even the term in English.
How do you say it, a question with a difficult explanation, since the word Lana Merino is the most introduced in our vocabulary, being the least accurate to express the name of the fabric, although it is not really wrong to say it this way, we will tell you about it below.
In many descriptions you can read Merino breed sheep and Merino breed sheep, which is the right one, the last one the breed is Merina, so as it is an adjective, it must agree in gender with the name, Merino sheep, Merino wool.
However, in many parts of the world, sheep of this breed are also referred to as Merino Group Sheep, so indicating it in this way is also recognised.
The reality is that whether you say it one way or the other, it is recognised and understood, so you can name it whatever you prefer, although the Merino Wool option would be the most correct, but not the only one.

8-What is the value of a garment with a grammage of 285gr/m2?

For thermal clothing intended for use in a low-intensity physical activity with minimal movement, such as motorcycling, minimum weights of 220gr/m2 and above are recommended.
