Committed to sustainable development and local production..
From the very beginning of this project, Arc'Warm was clear about the way forward. The products we manufactured had to be aligned with sustainable development. As for the way to achieve this, we knew that it was not going to be easy and, above all, it was going to increase the production costs in a very high way, endangering the viability of the project. However, we were determined to follow the path we had set out.
How did we put it into practice? By carrying out high quality production in terms of both materials and design, and that such production was Local. The production of high quality materials and designs was carried out in order to ensure that the production was Local. In addition, the focus was put on not manufacturing throwaway clothing, which is unfortunately what we find in countless sectors, including motorbike clothing (very low-cost garments, made in countries usually in the 3rd World) with extremely cheap labour, without labour rights and without anti-pollution regulations in their factories.
How many of us have bought something very cheap, for the bike or for any other sport, thinking, let's see if it works? If it doesn't, as it has been very cheap, I don't care. If it breaks after the first use, we don't give it much importance because of the low cost and we think, I'll buy a good one.
All this we do in a high percentage of the population among which we included ourselves, knowing that this product is cheap because of where, with what and how it is manufactured, but when you are a consumer you have a bombardment of pure and hard consumption either in the Motorcycle sector or in any other sport, tired of all this, we try to change the concept of purchase and use of clothing for motorcyclists, our sector.
At Arc'Warm we manufacture timeless garments, built to last and provide the thermal comfort needed for motorbike touring.
Local sustainable proximity production has a different and much higher cost than those made in Asia, causing margins to be considerably reduced. As indicated above, the production of Arc'Warm products is done in Portugal, where it is possible to establish a close link with the managers, supervisors and employees of many factories. This has allowed us to supervise the entire production process from start to finish, guaranteeing that the fabrics, dyes, wools and yarns selected for the manufacture of the products are those that have actually been used in the manufacture of the different Arc'Warm products..
We supervise the entire manufacturing process for Arc'Warm, from start to finish, getting to know and seeing the factories themselves, meeting the employees and selecting the different types of fabrics.

The production process combines manual and mechanical work. In the following photo we can see areas of the factory where Arc'Warm socks are produced.
The final labelling, as well as printing, stickers and packaging, is carried out under full supervision and quality control of European standardised processes.
